The 2024 MLB Playoffs will once again begin with 12 teams qualifying for the postseason. The top two division winners in the American and National leagues will receive first-round byes into the Division Series, while the 3rd to 6th place finishers in each league will play in best-of-three Wild Card series. The winners will advance to the Division Series, which will be best-of-five games, followed by the League Championship Series and World Series, both of which are best-of-seven. The World Series is expected to begin on October 25th.
The Toronto Blue Jays failed to qualify for the postseason with a disappointing 74-88 record this season. The New York Yankees and Cleveland Guardians earned the top seeds and wild card byes from the American League, while the LA Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies advanced directly to the Division Series in the National League.

I will be using SportsInteraction.com for the betting guide and examples below, but I do suggest comparing odds at the three betting sites to get the best return on each bet.
MLB Series Betting
A popular bet that is only available in the playoffs, is wagering on which team will win each series. I like this type of bet because there is more entertainment value than single game betting.

At SportsInteraction.com you can find the ‘Series Winner’ odds by selecting ‘Events’ and ‘Futures’ on the ‘Baseball’ betting page in the SIA Sportsbook.
World Series Winner Betting
You can bet on the World Series winner throughout the playoffs. The odds will change as teams advance or are eliminated from the playoffs.

MLB Playoff Game Betting
The most popular bets on an MLB Playoff game are still the money line, total, and run line. There are also a wider variety of prop bets offered on each playoff game.
