The NBA All-Star weekend is easily the best in North American professional sports. This years All-Star festivities will begin tonight with the Celebrity Game and Rising Stars Tournament. The skill competitions will take center stage Saturday night beginning at 8pm, while the actual NBA All-Star game tournament will take place Sunday night starting at 8:20pm EST. Canadians can catch all of the action on Sportsnet on Friday and Saturday, and TSN on Sunday.
It will be an action packed weekend of NBA All-Star fun and I will be tuning in to watch and place bets on most events.

You can find all of the NBA All-Star 2025 event odds by selecting ‘Basketball’ from the Sports menu. The semi-final games for the All-Star tournament will be shown on this page. All-Star Game Odds
This year the All-Stars were divided into three teams (check the rosters here). These three teams, plus the winner of the Rising Stars tournament on Friday night, will compete in a single-elimination tournament. Kenny’s Young Stars will play Chuck’s Global Stars in the first semi-final, and Shaq’s OGs will face Candace’s Rising Stars in the other semi-final. The winner of both games will then play in the All-Star Championship game at 10pm EST on Sunday night.
Here are the odds for the Kenny’s Young Stars vs Chuck’s Global Stars semi-final game as an example. The odds are from the Friday of All-Star weekend (odds taken February 14th).
Chucks Global Stars are 3.5 point favorites in their semi-final vs Kenny’s Young Stars.
In the other semi-final Shaqs OGs are significant 5.5 point favorites vs whichever team wins the Rising Stars tournament on Friday evening.
Slam Dunk Contest
Here are the odds for a couple of the skills competitions (odds taken February 14th).
Mac McClung is the favourite to threepeat as champion in this years All-Star Slam Dunk Contest. All of these guys are capable of performing some impressive dunks, so it will really come down to creativity and execution. It will be hard for any of the other participants to defeat McClung, who is coming in with a great deal of fanfare once again.
Skills Challenge
The skills challenge format will feature 4 teams of 2 players this year competing in different skill events (usually Team Shooting, Team Passing and Team Relay).
Here are the teams this year:
- Spurs: Chris Paul and Victor Wembanyama
- Cavs: Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley
- Warriors: Draymond Green and Moses Moody
- Rooks: Zaccharie Risacher and Alex Sarr
The Pacers won as the hometown squad last year and the Jazz won on their home court the year prior, so I think there could be value in the Warriors team using the energy from the crowd to find a way to get the victory.
