The Masters is the most prestigious golf tournament of the year. There are four majors on the PGA Tour, but if you asked any player I suspect they would tell you The Masters is the tournament they would most want to win. The 2024 Masters are set to take place this week at August National Golf Course in Georgia, with round 1 taking place on Thursday, April 11th and the tournament concluding with the fourth round on Sunday, April 14th. Scottie Scheffler is the tournament favourite, while Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm are the other top contenders heading into the tournament according to the oddsmakers.
The Masters is the only major that takes place at the same course every year and because of this you have a ton of information from which to pick what players you think will succeed.
On this page I will look at the current outright winner odds for the Masters, recommend a betting site for Canadians and give a quick 3 step guide to help you get your bets in on The Masters this year.

Tournament Winner Odds
**These odds from SportsInteraction.com are from April 11th.
Scottie Scheffler is the favourite with odds of 5-1 to win the Masters this year. Rory McIlroy (11-1) and Jon Rahm (12-1) are the other top contenders. I’ve included all golfers with 28-1 or shorter odds to win the tournament from SportsInteraction.com in the screenshot above.
Scheffler is the #1 ranked golfer in the world and he’s playing great golf at the moment, winning two of his last three tournaments and finishing T2 at the third. He also won The Masters in 2022 so we know his game matches up well with the course. Scheffler is undeniably the best golfer in the world at the moment, so it makes sense for him to be a significant favourite leading into the tournament.
McIlroy has not won a major since 2014 and The Masters is the only major he’s yet to win, so he will be looking to get the monkey off his back at Augusta this weekend. McIlroy did finish 2nd to Scheffler in 2022 and he’s playing decent golf at the moment. Jon Rahm is the defending Masters champion, but he moved from the PGA Tour to LIV Golf recently, which I think plays a factor in his longer odds. He’s playing well on LIV, but questions remain about how ready he will be for The Masters this week.
My favourite play this week is Bryson DeChambeau at odds of 33-1. He’s playing well at LIV Golf with top ten’s in his last four tournaments. He’s not performed well at The Masters in the past, but his length does give him advantages around Augusta if he can keep the ball in play. If he brings his A-game I think he has a legitimate chance to win the tournament.
You can also bet on a wide range of other Masters props such as head to head match-ups, group betting, over/under on scores, and more at Sports Interaction.
